Damp, decay or roof concerns when buying a property?
Once you have read the Home Report on your dream property, you may come across comments from the surveyor which gives their risk factor relating to anything from damp, decay, roof concerns, drainage and general condition of the property.
Apex Property Care surveyors are CSRT qualified to comment on all damp and timber problems that may have been given a 2 or a 3 in the Home Report.
Sometimes under the heading of Damp or Timber defects, the Surveyor has given a 2 or a 3, suggesting further investigations are needed.
When we carry out our specialist inspections, we need clear and detailed information as to where we have to concentrate our own inspection. Sometimes, there is a recommendation for a particular part of the property, while in other cases, a full detailed inspection is required. It is helpful to have a copy of the Home Report before heading out to the survey.
